In honor of reaching over 500 wonderful followers I’ve rounded up some goodies to distribute among my followers! Although this blog is mainly filled with cute pictures of my snakes I enjoy answering questions about hognose care. I do believe the best way to get someone to understand what many of us see in reptiles is to show them through the eyes of their owners, which is what I aim to portray in my photos. I love getting comments saying that the person has changed their mind and thinks snakes are cute instead of evil or scary. And by reblogging my photos you’re helping spread the message as well and for that I thank you. The goodies being given away are as followed:
- A $25 gift certificate to hognose.com run by Greg Bennett. Get that much off any snake!
- A Medium Fake Grass Plastic Plant (not shown)
- Fluker’s Medium Log Hide
- Zoomed Digital Thermometer
- Exoterra Medium Dish
- Exoterra Medium Reptile Cave
- Medium Small Animal Fleece Bed (which snakes love oddly enough)

- swishy tail
- WHISKERS
- sit on your head
- sleep on your tummy

I took my rattie to my preschool yesterday!
They really loved him, fed him treats, he gave them kisses, and crawled over them. He is really sweet, and did really well! He has never been around that many people so he was a little scared and went to hide down my shirt a few times. But other than that he did really well!
Whats funny is that my kids were able to use the camera and get better pictures of him then i can!!
I want to bring him back again, they loved him so much!
abrutalbutterfly asked: Hey, I was wondering if you could talk about how you learned to hoop and if you had any tips for how to learn? I'm a fat lady that's trying to learn to hoop and I'm having trouble keeping my hoop up on my waist, and I want to figure out what I'm doing wrong or if I need a different hoop. Thanks so much!
Okay, so the first time i picked up a hoop, i was at my friends house and her mom had one just laying around from Burning Man, i soon realized that i could do a few tricks. The first hoop i ever got was a 44inch 120psi hoop, with that i was able to do around the waist, and very few tricks, but because it was so heavy i was unable to do much else. My current hoops that i use are all on the smaller side, anywhere from 37 inch to 34 inch. None of these i am able to waist hoop without spinning in a circle with the direction of the hoop. That is a good trick because it gives you more time to complete the rotation and is able to keep it up on your waist. I learned through youtube tutorials, and other things like hoop-trix.org. The reason that i started using lighter smaller hoops is because i come from a colorguard/baton background and i really like the off body tricks that i am able to do with the hoop. As my body shrinks i feel like i will be able to waist hoop with my current hoops.
what size hoop are you using now?
